Get in the game
Some say stock option trading is gambling. They aren’t wrong. What they don’t recognize is how many professional gamblers there are. Trading is a game that you can become good at.
Stock option trading is more of a sport, with its own set of unique skills to develop and mental obstacles to overcome. This is what makes trading a lucrative career or hobby for thousands of people. You can improve your skills and take a more serious approach if you actually want to make money over time.
We at Major League Options have developed a trading plan tailored around this idea. The trading plan is designed for beginners with enough detail to satisfy veterans. We provide this trading plan in its entirety for free by signing up to our newsletter below. The newsletter is sent out every weekend. It covers the prior week, analyzes how we performed, and looks ahead to the upcoming week, including new trade opportunities.
If you’re a rookie trader looking to go pro, the MLO trading plan may be right for you.
About MLO
My parents named me after the legendary New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor. I’m short, scrawny, and white, but I’ve always been a competitive person. Living up to my namesake has been a lifelong struggle of mine. I went to school for finance and marketing and fell in love with the stock market around 2012. I didn’t have money to actually participate in the markets until 2016. Since then, I’ve dabbled in Forex, crypto, penny stocks, and so on until finding my passion in options. Early into my options trading career I learned I needed a plan that fit my style of trading (swing trading) and also fit my personality. I didn’t just want to make money – I wanted to win. I wanted to improve. I now trade part time for a professional prop trading firm using the Major League Options trading plan.
I think any successful trading plan should find a way to help its user manage the emotional side of trading. Major League Options tricks me into treating real money like fake money. I don’t panic when I see a loss, because it’s only a game. I change all dollar amounts in my account to show as percentages and I would recommend anyone who struggles sitting through volatility to do the same. I want to offer the plan and the results for free to help others out in their journey, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit there isn’t a selfish reason also. Tracking and sharing my trades keeps me honest and helps me identify my weaknesses. I won’t promise this plan will make you money, and this is all for educational purposes only, but I hope you find some value in looking through it. Most of all, I hope it helps you understand that the key to success is to develop a plan that works for YOU.
